What To Expect
Difficult times and unexpected life changes happen. Relationships struggle and sometimes come to an end. Hurt, stress, grief, depression and anxiety are often a result. Counseling is a powerful asset to help you navigate through these problems so you can reach healing and growth. You do not have to walk through it alone, I can help you understand your situation, cop and move through it productively.
I strive to create a relaxed, supportive and positive environment for my clients during each session, because I understand how difficult and scary it can be for clients to disclose personal information. I show each client respect, honesty and compassion.
Prior to your initial visit with me, I ask that you please contact your insurance company to find out if you have a copay or a deductible. I also ask that you please fill out the "intake" paperwork prior to your counseling session. This paperwork helps me to understand your history, background, concerns, worries, etc. These questions allow me to come up with treatment goals to work on together for our following sessions. It is also important I get your feedback on treatment goals you would like to work on in your treatment. This gives me a good foundation of follow-up therapy session goals. Open and honest communication is always and important goal in this process. I am here to meet your needs and provide you with the best care possible.
